Part II: Common Fate
Produced by Marco Carmel

Arrow $50

“These two films tell, for the first time, the story of the Jewish communities of North Africa (Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco) during World War II. Extensive archival footage brings the history of this period to life. Stories from the survivors, now elderly, reveal how, without intervention, it was only “a matter of time” until they would share the fate of their co-religionists in Europe.” JTM Films, Israel.

Derrida

Arrow $40
Official Selection of Sundance Film Festival.  An odd portrait of Jacques Derrida, one of the most polemical and influential theorists of the end of the 20th century, the filmmakers 'deconstruct' the French thinker's private and professional life, in an attempt to capture the processes of an inquisitive and iconoclastic mind which has greatly influenced our way of understanding the limits of language.
