Under the High Patronage of
His Majesty Mohammed VI, King of Morocco

A Year-Long Program by the American Sephardi Federation
Celebrating the Historic and Proud Moroccan Jewish Legacy

The American Sephardi Federation (ASF) aims to promote cross-cultural understanding and highlight the diversity and international scope of the Sephardic Jewish heritage. Thus for 2010-2011, the ASF has organized a series of multidisciplinary events celebrating the patrimony and legacy of Jewish culture in Morocco.

This program: 2000 Years of Jewish Life in Morocco: An Epic Journey, opened with the exhibition: Looking Back: The Jews of Morocco. During the year, a series of lectures by distinguished scholars will take place on Moroccan Jewry, a major symposium, a concert, and the 15th NY Sephardic Jewish Film Festival will screen several films on the Jews of Morocco and the Moroccan Jewish experience. This year-long program made possible through the generous support of the Edmond J. Safra Philanthropic Foundation. The following is a tentative list of activities:
